Windows 10: Stuck in Hp logo, then flickering, then error igdkmd64.sys loop

Recently I noticed that my laptop screen had been flickering, so I tried out all the methods to fix it and they didn’t work. I decided to factory reset my laptop and once it was done it got stuck on the Hp logo screen. This is where I powered off my laptop which I think was a mistake, and then the cycle began.

I tried do all sorts of things to fix the problems, however they didn’t work. At one point I realized that after the Hp logo loaded, the “Preparing” screen would start, but then flicker, and move me to the igdkmd64.sys blue screen. It says it’ll restart, but it doesn’t.

Is there any way I can fix this?

igdkmd64.sys/ntoskrnl.exe BSOD & Black screen flickers

Recently after I sold my Gtx 1070 GPU and start to use i5 6500 integrated graphics Intel 530 on Windows 10, my PC is experiencing a few BSOD caused by driver igdkmd64.sys and caused by address ntoskrnl.exe.
Besides getting BSOD or crash, my screen also flickers to black for 0.5 seconds at random times (Maybe 0-5 times a day). This did not happen when I was using Dedicated graphics and the problem came 1 day after I switched to Integrated graphics so I don't think
the problems ties to monitor, memory, psu or ssd.



Things I already tried but did not help:

Reformat PC

Update to latest Intel 530 vga driver

Ran SFC /scannow (No errors)

Ran Memory diagnostic test (No errors)

It did not BSOD or flicker for one day so I thought it's fixed but on the third day, the flickers and 2nd BSOD appeared so I really hope someone could help. Thanks.

What is the make and model of your computer?

File igdkmd64.sys is the Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver for Microsoft Windows 8.

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below:



Step 1:

Uninstall the Device from Device Manager

• Open Device Manager
• Expand the Display Adapter section.
  
• Find the Display card Driver.
• Right click Display card Driver and select
  Uninstall.
• Select the check box delete the driver software for this device.
• Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.

Step 2:

Uninstall the Device Drivers from Program List in Control Panel

• Click on start, select Control Panel
• Now click on Programs and select Programs and Features.
• Find the Display card Driver.
• Right click Display card Driver and select
  Uninstall.
• Reboot the computer after the uninstall process has finished.

There could have been a driver conflict among the PC components that happened during the update, hence, the issue.

Based on the error message, igdkmd64.sys is predominantly a video driver conflict within Windows. In view of this, we suggest updating the graphics card driver on your computer through the Device Manager. For the steps on how to do it, please
