    Pitbull and DEcosse,

Please update the Systems Specs in your forum profile with complete information.

    • In the System Manufacturer/Model Number field, manually type Desktop or Laptop adding it to the information already in the field. The specific model number is important - there are often many models of a given series.
For example, my machine is a HP Pavilion dv6, but there are tens of the dv6 series, so dv6-6c10us is the specific model.

    • Specify Custom Build as the manufacturer if it is not an OEM machine.
The easiest way to do this is to use the information from a PUBLISHED Speccy report.
See: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs

*Arrow Post the link to the report that Speccy gives you. This allows members to see details about the devices (make, model, driver vers) and see what pgms are installed (conflicts?).
There's a lot of information in the Speccy that helps troubleshoot an issue.
    Thanks.

Open the Speccy link, then click here to view your System Specs on this forum.

When you have both windows open, put them side-by-side and simply copy the information, field by field, from the Speccy report to your System Specs.

To see what information other members provide in their System Specs, click on My System Specs in the lower left of any post by any member.

    Thanks

Then it's certainly not win 10 compatible from 2009! *Wink

And it's not even the latest, which would be the one I referred above

    Legacy

It appears that AMD is not going to make any further releases to this generation:

The second sentence is all well & good if you have a desktop, but you're kinda screwed if you have a notebook/laptop.

You can try updating to that one I linked and see if makes any difference, but suspect it won't

Slartybart - thank you for that reference - will do!
    (and done!)

Stuck on configure with spinning wheel

I'm having a similar issue and it is probably a drive compatibility issue showered I can't even get windows 10 to finish booting to find out or fix it.

    Asus ROG laptop

Nothing super special in software, couple of standard games (wow, elder scrolls), vmware, a lot of movies, music, pictures, research/school stuff, all drivers/software, where kept up to date, etc

Problem: windows 10 appeared to load correctly but I noticed the video card wasn't being used for anything. When I looking at the cards control program it said it had a driver available for install so I did. It attempted to install and it kept rebooting my computer until the 3rd time when it said windows experienced an error and was building a report to send to Microsoft. When it finished, it rebooted again except this time it started booting but went to a black screen with my mouse error flashing back and forth with the blue spinning circle. Rebooting, hard shutdowns, giving it 6 hours, does nothing.

    Help.
