Stuck start menu/DCOM Server Process Launcher CPU utilization

Last night, system running fine. Woke this morning to login screen, aka MS sent an update. Boot up but the start menu is stuck. This has happened before, a simple reboot usually fixes this and its good going forward. Not this time, restart it might work but will eventually stop again. Looking at task manager I have Service Host: DCOM Server Process Launcher (6) taking up 26-30% utilization. Boot into safe mode and everything is fine however.

I don't know what was in last nights update but it appears to have really screwed up my system. The only thing I added yesterday was CPUID CPU-Z, I really don't think that is the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

  2. DCOM Process Server using 99% CPU

Since the last Windows update for Win 10, I cannot use my desktop. A DCOM Server Process Launcher is using 99% of cpu. Cannot use files or Internet.

service host DCOM server process laucher high CPU usage

Same in my Windows 10 for a long time.

Recently, I used the process monitor (remember to click file-show details for all processes) from Windows Sysinternals suit to check the DCOM server process launcher process (svchost.exe). I found a System Events Broker server thread with start address
“DAB.dll!DabSessionStateChanged+0xe4c” use a lot of CPU and make a lot of cycles delta(ten times than others)record. After suspended this thread, the DCOM server process launcher seems works fine, no more high CPU usage. I don’t know is there some side effects
to suspend the thread or is it the same dll cause this problem in another computer.

Although I had to do this every boot, it`s really a workable temporary solution for me.
Hope MS fix it as soon as possible and this is helpful.
