Windows 10: Stuttering in Games - Windows 10

Stuttering in games, and bad performance. What i have tried. Changing the Settings From High to Low in games like CSGO, Valorant, League of Legends doesn't improve my fps or the stuttering. I have these random stutters during the games. On this rig my LOL fps is not going above 120 and it goes down till 90, on CSGO its from 200-300, on both games there is stuttering ingame. What i have also noticed is that the GPU Usage is always going from 0 - 100%. The temperatures of both GPU and CPU are good under 65C. What i have done is updating BIOS, changed XMP Profile for the ram to 2933mhz, Disable

High end build, stuttering in every game

Hello, this is my build:

• i5-6600k
• ASUS MAXIMUS RANGER VIII
• MSI GTX 1060 6G
• Samsung SSD 850 evo 250gb
• WD Caviar Blue 1TB
• G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200 DDR4 (XMP profile)
• Dual monitor: Zowie XL2411 144hz + BenQ GW2260 60Hz

I get stuttering in the following titles:

• Rocket League: every time a new player join a match the game freeze, also when V-Sync is on I get random lag from 144 to 130 and then the game continue to run smoothly.
• GTA V: random stuttering Online and fps drops, V-Sync on.
• PUBG: random stuttering, V-Sync off.
• Rust: stuttering when loading chunks with fps drops.
• Ark: as Rust.
• Total War Warhammer: random stuttering in the strategic map, V-Sync on.

What I've done till now:

• Tried every graphic settings.
• All kind of Windows 10 optimizations like Performance mode, Xbox game mode off, disabled unnecessary services and tasks, no antivirus (Windows Defender on only).
• Hard drive defragmentation.
• Nvidia control panel optimizations for every game like Thread optimization, tried several v-sync modes, etc.
• All drivers are updated.
• No pending Windows updates.
• Temps are fine, GPU and CPU never go above 65C.
• Shadowplay overlay off.
• Playing with one monitor at once.
• Moved games from HDD to SSD.
• Tried different version of GPU drivers.
• Disabled the page on the HDD and fixed its size on the SSD with the reccommended value.
• Memtest for both RAM stick at once (8 pass each no errors).

What I've not tried yet is to reinstall the OS... benchmarks and performance in game are ok and in line with every other user... do you have any suggestions? Could it be network related? How can I analyze the stuttering?

PS: I'm testing with Latencymon and doing some screenshot of gpu and cpu usage

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

3) If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, is the most stable method to advance to the latest version, and solves most problems. But remember that in Windows 10 everything depends upon the quality of the install, and Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. The reason I suggest this is that no one who has adopted the install in the above link has ever come back to report further problems I've seen, including another version failure. This is because everything in Windows 10 is dependent upon the quality of the install, especially Version Updates which will choke on lesser quality installs, and there is no possibility of problems if you stick ONLY with the steps, tools and methods in that tutorial.

It is also one of life's great learning experiences that will permanently make you the master of your PC because you will learn everything that works best and how to keep it that way.
