Windows 10: Subject: How Can I Boot Windows from an External Drive and Remove Incompatible Drivers?

I am reaching out to request assistance regarding issues I previously encountered with booting Windows from an external drive. I have an external drive that contains Windows, which was originally used on a different laptop. This laptop, however, did not have the same drivers as the one I am now trying to boot the external drive on.In the past, I experienced problems with the graphics, such as the resolution randomly changing, the screen going black, and encountering a Blue Screen of Death. Is LaCie external drive detected in Device Manager?

I suggest you to update LaCie external drive drivers in Device manager and check. If issue persists install driver in Compatible mode.

Compatibility mode

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

• Just to confirm, the device that is not working properly is a external DVD optical drive?
• Were there any recent changes or updates installed on your computer?
• Have you tried to plug the external drive to a different port on your computer?

As a initial recommendation, we suggest that your run the built in troubleshooter in Windows 10. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.

Windows 10 - Memory Integrity - Incompatible Drivers

Good day all,

Please could someone advise how I might identify and safely remove/disable/update the following incompatible drivers, so that memory integrity can be re-enabled.

The incompatible drivers are as follows;
- ftdibus.sys
- wdcsam64_prewin8.sys
- PxHIpa64.sys
- SaiH0C2D.sys
- tib.sys

Autoruns lists nearly all of these files however I have not used this utility before, so thought it's best I ask first.

Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated!
