Windows 10: Suddenly horrible internet connection. If i ping something i get 400 ping. Games are unplayable

Windows 10 High Ping on Games

Is it before the CSGO update or after. Lots of people are reporting this issue after the update. They are saying that the new update has messed up the routing or something. I would suggest to try connection optimizer like Kill Ping. It will bypass all the
nodes in between and directly connect you to game server.

But first do these steps given in the guide for CSGO

Ping Monitor

The best pinging and tracing program I've ever came across is this:

(UO Trace). It can even be set up to:

• Get IP address from domain name.
• Show the entire network path (I.E. every server the connection hops across) along the internet between you and destination. It pings every single 'hop'.
• Or just the destination only.
• "Zero" in on a 'problem server' along the route and ping only that server.
• Brilliant for troubleshooting connection problems in multiplayer games
• See where packets are being dropped.

What to look out for?
There are a few things to keep your eye out for when running these tests.

• High ping times: If your average ping times are often above 150ms, you’ll see slower response times in-game. If they’re over 200ms, you’ll probably have connection drops.
• Packet loss: If you see numbers other than 0% or 100% in the % Loss column, it means data is being lost at that point in your connection. If you see it in more than one place, or if the numbers are high, this is probably what’s causing your connection issues. Make a note of the hops where packet loss is happening, and contact your ISP to let them know about it
• Big differences between the best/worst ping times: This is a good indicator of an unstable connection. The difference between your best and worst ping times should be 100ms at most. If it’s more than that, that means a jittery or spiky connection. This is what causes lag in games and is the source of frustrating inconsistencies in performance. If you see this in your UOTrace, talk to your ISP about that, too.

If you are pertaining to your internet ping, there are solutions that might help you improve your ping.

1 Use ethernet instead of Wifi. Using ethernet cable directly connected to your internet router will surely improve your internet speed and lower your ping. (Note that: the lower the ping you receive means your internet speed is better)

2 Close any running background apps that might hog a lot of your internet bandwidth, resulting in increased latency.

3 Remove other devices connected to the internet. Each additional device on your network puts strain on your bandwidth.

4 Check your ping via Speed test. If results displays 1 to 3 ms it means your ping results is great and fast.

But if the results are higher than you expect then it can be an issue with your internet service provider. I suggest that you install a higher internet plan subscription.
