Windows 10: Suggestion: Surface Pro 6 - smooth out adaptive brightness

This has probably been discussed before, but I can't seem to find a suggestion box for Win 10. I like the idea of adaptive brightness, but the constant, noticeable adjustments are distracting. Is MS looking into smoothing the transitions, or is there a third party utility that will do it for me?

Surface Pro 4 can't increase brightness

So just as the title says I cant increase the brightness above a certain setting on my surface pro 4 i5. For some stupid reason everything above "suggested" is the same brightness setting as the suggested setting. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't,
for example I hadn't been able to get higher screen brightness than suggested for the last 2 days but at the time I was writing this it suddenly starts working again.

I'm posting this mostly so Microsoft becomes aware of the issue. It seems that it has something to do with plugging the charger in and out because it usually happens after that but not always.

Try the below suggested steps.

Method 1

1. Unplug all the external devices except Mouse and Keyboard.
   
2. Try to reboot the device and check the status of the issue.
   

Method 2

I would suggest you to perform Power drain by following the suggested steps.

1. Press and hold the Power Button down for 30-40 seconds.
   
2. Hold the Volume Rocker up and Power ON for almost 20 second.
   
3. Release the power button and wait for next 10-15 seconds.
   
4. Press the power button to turn on your Surface and check the status of the issue.
