Windows 10: Suggestion: Windows 10

I hope this was the right place to put this. Moderators, if this isn't correct then please let me know where to put it!


So I had this thought: Windows 10 can be slow on older hardware, or laptops with 4GB of ram.. etc. What if we are able to have windows 10 automatically adjust performance for older computers? Here is an example: While I can manually do this stuff, a normal computer user wouldn't really know this. My grandpa is on an AMD Athlon 2 and 4GB of ram and it has been running really slow. We should have windows 10 be able to disable animations, disable some features, or even apply a classic theme depending on the hardware.


This way buisinesses could potentially get off windows 7, without having to worry about performance dercrease and the home user can have a better experience.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
