Windows 10: Support needed for Movies and TV app

Discus and support Support needed for Movies and TV app in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have not been able to play purchased movies for a while.     Support needed for Movies and TV app


    I have not been able to play purchased movies for a while. Happens on more than one device.


    I went through the help support option & it was no help at all. But advised to try the MS community for help.

    I did that & got a reply, that I needed 2nd level account support.. Only I can not find the post I made or how to get through to said support.


    The only option I saw on my first try was a phoneback, the other option did not work & looped me back to the start.


    Other people are reporting the issue on the Feedback hub of Movies and TV.. But that is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. They post they have the message then nothing happens. No help or advice.. just a dead end.


    So... does anyone have a link that they can post, for me to get my issue to the correct support people?

    Movies & TV app not working properly.

    Hi,

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key.
    • Type Windows Powershell.
    • Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
    • Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.
    get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

    Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

    Get Movies & TV - Microsoft Store

    Movie and tv library is not syncing with my surface for Microsoft Movies and Tv app

    Hi Destined, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

    On your Surface, see if resetting the Movies & TV app fixes the issue. Here are the steps you can follow:

    - Click Start and type "apps & features".

    - Select Apps & Features.

    - Find the Movies & TV app in the list and select it.

    - Click Advanced Options

    - Click Reset.

    - Open the app again and sign in to see if your purchases appear.
