    Surface Book Keyboard not attaching, cannot type and finger pad not working


    Hello,


    I have a Microsoft surface book purchased in 2016. When I open the computer the screen indicates that the keyboard is trying to attach but then detaches randomly enough times that the comes an error saying that there is a malfunction with the device. The keyboard WI not allow typing and the finger trackpad will not work.


    I have tried restarting the computer, updating the computer, removing the keyboard device and then repairing it, and cleaning the sensors of the connector for the keyboard to tablet.


    This is quite frustrating because I could barely touch the computer and the errors will begin.


    I have found the driver for the keyboard and it is said to be made in 2006. I am not sure if a new driver is available to fix this error.

    Two Finger Browser Navigation

    Hi Donia,

    You can change touchpad settings to turn the touchpad on and off, reverse scrolling direction, turn gestures on and off, and more. You can follow the steps below:

    1. Attach the Cover to your Surface or the keyboard to your Surface Book. (If you have a Wireless Adapter for Typing Covers, attach the Cover directly to your Surface.)
    2. Go to Start , and select Settings > Devices
      > Touchpad.
    3. Adjust your settings under Touchpad.

    Some applications have a built-in touchpad gestures. If you are having issues using the two-finger gestures for browser navigation on Google Chrome, I would suggest that you contact
    Google Support for further assistance.

    screen will not zoom with fingers after latest windows 10 update

    Can only zoom by using the pad on surface book after doing fall creators update. Fingers on screen won't work. Won't work even when keyboard is detached on tablet mode.
