Windows 10: Surface helps Apple MacBook owners trade up to Pen and on-screen touch

There are a lot of Apple fans around, they do put together some nice hardware - Since the unfortunate death of Steve Jobs I've seen the well of ideas dry up at apple. It was the same when he left to form next computers and Apple ended up going to Bill Gates for a handout (One that was offered as Microsoft needed a competitor with high visibility to beat the Monopoly accusation from the US DOJ).

Then Jobs returned and invented phones with round corners and white earphones and the rest is history *Wink

You have a core of users who still place form over function (or even Logo over quality), and they keep Apple making money but that is changing slowly, 75% plus of phones purchased worldwide are not apple products (around 75% are android) so eventually they could be a new IBM who have been both the biggest earner and the biggest loss maker in History ( remember who refused to insist that Microsoft didn't market their own version of DOS)

 

I wouldn't exactly call porting Office to MAC a "lot or their software". I do get your point though. Interesting times these are.

 

Microsoft office has long been, one of, if not the best selling additional software for all models of MAC, even more than Adobe products these days

 

Rumor has it they are working on an iGame device. And they poached some game designers from another company to start up a new company iBHard using the GetReal game engine. Both of those sound strangely familiar somehow? *Tongue
