Windows 10: Surface Pro 4 not working properly.

I've recently started to encounter some issues with my surface pro 4, some apps such as calculator, and alarms don't start. they'll pop up then close by itself immediately after. the photos app was doing the same and i would get an error when trying to open any photo but i updated the app and it seemed to fix the problem, but the other apps still don't work. This happened after i reset my PC through advance startup, and selected the option to clean everything and reinstall windows. another issue that i'm encountering is that its not outputting audio through the Mini Display-port to HDMI. i've tried all the troubleshooting steps i could find online and in the forums. im on windows 10, version 1803, OS build 17134.376.

I understand your concern and will guide you in the right direction.

The main causes observed so far are driver issues, so I suggest you to install and update all the drivers and see if it helps.

Download drivers and firmware for Surface

I would also suggest you to install all Windows update and check.

Follow the steps:

1. On the search bar type “Settings”.

2. Click on “Update and Security”.

3. Click on “Check for Updates”.

4. Read and accept the license terms, and then tap or click Finish if the update requires it.

Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep

Hi, thank you. I could restart my surface pro 4 but still could not fix the Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep. I am still looking forward to hearing more suggestions to fix the black screen after sleep.
