Windows 10: surface Pro 7 win10 2004

On 10th Sept. 2020 I updated Win10 to 2004.

I now note that the position of the on screen keyboard is locked. When you tap into a data entry field the cursor is positioned outside of the keyboard BUT to read anything hidden by the keyboard you must close the kB!

Does anyone else find this a retrograde change?

Surface pro 7 upgrade to 2004 version

Good day, yesterday I buy surface pro 7 but I can't upgrade to latest version 2004. Is it ok? Thank you.

 

Upgrade Surface Pro 7 to Win10 Pro from VLSC

Hello,

We purchased 15 licenses of the Win10 Pro upgrade from TechSoup. In the Volume License Service Center they show up as a Win7 key and I cannot use it to upgrade my Surface Pro 7 from Win10 Home -> Win10 Pro. We are a nonprofit and were hoping to use the
donated version of Windows 10, not pay $99 per computer to upgrade. We have a handful of Surface Pro 6 devices and one Surface Pro 7. I wanted to standardize on this hardware as we onboard more staff members.

Rest assured, there is nothing you need to do, and there is nothing wrong with your new Surface Pro 7, you just need to wait a little while, you will receive the version 2004 as soon as version 2004 is more widely available

Feature update 2004 is currently an optional update, that is being released in phases, initially that is only suitable for a sub-set of PC hardware, then Microsoft will fix any bugs found and release the next phase that will include more PC architectures.
