Windows 10: Surface Pro issue with Work Account/Outlook

I have a weird issue that is only effecting Surface Pro's. Symptom is Outlook starts needing password but does not prompt for the password. This all started when we implemented MFA with O365.

Noticed that the work account is not listed in Setup > Accounts > Email & Accounts > Accounts Used by other apps like it is on the devices that are not having this issue.

I have done a full erase everything reset and it still persists. If I click the add work/school account button no window appears to start the process. Device is on 1909 (2004 is not available for Surface yet).



Has anyone else seen this or experienced the problem? Suggestions for resolution?

Hello Bex,

For us to help you suggest steps to resolve the issue, we would like to know some information:

• Did you get any error messages when signing in to your account?
• Have you made any significant changes prior to this issue?
• Have you tried to login using a different Microsoft account or local account on the computer?

outlook account config

SO today my friend asked me if i could post this question on the forum:



He wants to configure a outlook account with 1 email, with that outlook account he wants to run the same account in 2 diferent computers he wants the both computer to be connected in network, for example:

• he receives a email and that email is sent to each computer;
• he deletes a email from one computer and it also deletes on the other;
• he moves a email to a folder it also moves on the other computer;

If you guys can help me would be nice!

Outlook on phone not syncing with Surface Pro

Hi Profjulie,

I hope you're still following this thread, as you've helped me along through the process of diagnosing my problem. I am having problems syncing Outlook calendar events between my phone, desktop, and Surface Pro. With the same Microsoft account on all three
devices and Outlook 365 on my desktop and Surface Pro, these events occur:

• An appointment made on the Lumia 950 will sync to Outlook.com.
• The same appointment will sync to the Outlook app on the desktop and on the Surface Pro.
• The same appointment will sync to Outlook 365 on my Surface Pro.
• The same appointment will NOT sync to Outlook 365 on the desktop.
• An appointment made on Outlook 365 on the desktop will not sync to any other device/app.
• An appointment made on Outlook 365 on the Surface Pro will sync to everything but Outlook 365 on the desktop.

I think I have all of the permutations covered. I'm hoping the above information will help you help me to determine why I can't sync my Outlook 365 on my desktop to my phone, SP, the apps, and Outlook.com.
