Windows 10: Switch Pro Controller No Longer Detected on New Windows 10 Installation

Brief rundown of the facts:* Recently put a new SSHD into my computer and installed Windows 10 on it.* When I boot into Windows 10 on the new SSHD and plug my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller into a USB port, nothing happens. No "New hardware detected" sound, no charging light, nothing.* However, when I boot up my previous Windows 10 installation on the old HDD and plug in the controller, it works without a problem, as always did when I used it before getting the new SSHD.* Thus, I know the problem cannot be with the cable, the controller, or the USB port.What I've tried so far:* Installed 3rd p

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller not being detected by Windows 10

We appreciate your effort on this. We understand that when you connect the Nintendo Switch Pro controller to the computer, it is not being detected, we will look into this for you.



However, it would be great if you can help us with the details requested below:

• Does the Nintendo Switch Pro controller gets detected in any other computer?
  
• Were you able to use the Nintendo Switch Pro controller earlier on your current computer?
  
• Is any other USB Device detected on your computer?
  
• Do you see any Unknown device or a yellow yield sign on any device in Device Manager?
  
• May I know the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?
  

To check for unknown devices, you can press Windows key + X, and select
Device Manager.



If you see any Unknown device or a device with yellow yield, right click on the device and select
Update Driver.



However, we would also suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Error: “USB Device not recognized” when you try to access a USB external hard drive. except Method 1 and 2 and check if that helps in resolving the issue.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
