Switched boot mode to Ultra Fast and now booting recovery screen with no working keyboard

    hey everyone,

I’m really struggling to get my PC working. I’m worried that I may have broke something in an attempt to get my computer to boot up faster.

Long story short my computer used to boot in under 10 seconds. I forget which settings I had it set to since it’s been 2 years since i’ve installed windows on that M.2 drive, but it’s worked for me until just recently. About a month ago my pc started taking almost 2 minutes to boot on so recently I decided to try my best to fix the problem. I went into the computer system settings and noticed there was a ultra fast boot mode. I decided to enable those settings in case that fixed the problem.

WORST PC MISTAKE I EVER MADE.

Now the computer won’t boot on. It results in a blue screen and error code 0xc000000e

Claims my device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed.

When I try accessing the settings by pressing del or f8 absolutely nothing happens. My keyboard isn’t even being picked up.

Tonight I unplugged my Hard drives and m.2 and replugged them in. Attempted once again and still the same screen and no working keyboard.

Any help right now would lovely!

    :)

  3. Computer not booting

See if you can open the BIOS and temporarily modify the BIOS boot order to boot to the external USB HD.

Boot from USB Drive on Windows 10 PC

If you have fast boot or ultra fast boot enabled in your UEFI firmware settings, then you may need to temporarily disable fast boot or ultra fast boot to be able to boot from a USB.

Enable or Disable Fast Boot in UEFI Firmware Settings for Windows

Other troubleshooting steps (trial and error)

    1. Try another USB stick

    2. Try all USB ports (2.0 and 3.0)

    3. Maybe when using UEFI Bios you have to temporarily switch to Legacy in BIOS settings

    4. Turn off temporarily fast boot, secure boot, CSM if enabled

Switched boot mode to Ultra Fast and now booting recovery screen with no working keyboard

Keyboard not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

To address your concern, we suggest that you boot your computer into safe mode and disable sticky keys.

Since your keyboard and mouse do not work, then you can try to access the Windows recovery options and boot in safe mode. You'll need a recovery drive to do this. For information on how to create a recovery drive, please refer to this

    link
    .

To boot the computer in safe mode using the recovery option, please follow these steps:

    • Boot from the recovery media (USB or DVD). On the initial setup screen, enter your language and other preferences, and then select
Next. If you're not seeing the setup screen, your PC might not be set up to boot from a drive. Check your PC manufacturer's website for info on how to change your PC's boot order, and then try again.
    • Select Repair your computer. On the Choose an option screen, select
Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings.
    • Choose Safe Mode, then let the system restart.

Once in safe mode, you can try to switch off Sticky Keys, then restart the computer.

Let us know how it goes.
