Windows 10: Switched the primary button of my mouse and reverted it back. But my trackpad got stuck on...

A couple of days ago I tried to change the primary button to the right one on my mouse (usb connected) since I'm a lefty and wanted to try if I had a little more skill at writing through mouse with my main hand (Sucks to have to write a calculus exercise on virtual whiteboard and having nobody understand what I write). Well, it turns out I don't, I just can't write with my mouse even if my life depended on it. A couple of days passed and since I use the mouse and not the trackpad I didn't notice that my trackpad still sees the right button as the main button instead of the left one as regular. So now, while I use my mouse I have no problem but the minute I need my trackpad it's inverted even if it has the regular setting on windows.

How can I solve this?

Separate profiles for mouse and trackpad possible?

Apparently after a recent update, I don't seem to be able to keep separate profiles for mouse and trackpad on my HP Spectre 360. Even though I'm a lefty, I've always scrolled the trackpad with my right hand and used my left on the button. This is opposite of how I use the mouse (right button being primary). I used to be able to switch the mouse and leave the trackpad in the normal orientation, but no longer. Switching the mouse buttons automatically switches the trackpad too. It's irritating to have to switch the buttons every time I plug into or unplug from my USBC hub/monitor. I've attached a pic that similar to the old mouse setting screen that seems to have gone away, as well as what I currently see. Any suggestions?

 

Mouse buttons keep switching via MS account

I have a Win10 desktop for which I use a mouse with the right button set as primary, and a Win10 laptop for which I use the trackpad and use the left button as primary. These keep switching and it seems to have to do with the machines being logged into my
MS account.

For example, yesterday I had been working on the desktop and the right mouse button was (correctly) primary. Later, I was working on the laptop and the trackpad had switched to the right button being primary, even though I'd previously set the left as primary.
While working on the laptop, I changed the left mouse button to be primary. Then, the next day, when working on the desktop, it's primary mouse button had switched to the left button. I have observed this on several occasions now so it seems as if my MS account
is maintaining the same, most recently specified primary mouse button regardless of which machine I'm using.

How can I force each machine to maintain the last primary mouse specified on that machine?

I have a problem with my laptop (Windows 10) that whenever i set the primary button to left for the trackpad in Settings, my USB wireless mouse sets it primary button to right click. My laptop is a 2740p HP Elitebook. If you have any tips to fix this issue
please post.
