Symbol right of clock? and Mail?

These are 2 questions.

Have Windows 10.

Yesterday and today 12-13 and 12, 2020.

The symbol right of clock showed something about "Notifications"

"Manage Notifications"

I Right click and several notices appeared. I did not want any of them.

There is Notice & actions Page/screen that appears.

I X'ed out some, as I Do Not /Did Not want to see any of them.

Finally after more upset I was able to "Turn Off", What I Do Not and Did Not want.

This started to appear after the last couple of "Updates" More UnWanted Stuff.



Productivity

"Mail" Square Box that appears in the Big Square Box when the MS Symbol "Start" lower left is Left "Clicked".

I check the weather and I see the "Mail" square box showing emails.
I Do Not / Did Not want to see that.

More Stuff I Do Not Did Not Want to see/view.

If When I want to see/view emails I will "Sign In" and Hope they are there.


Does anyone Know How to Stop the "Mail" Showing under "Productivity??

I Do Not want to see/view that.

This started 12-13-2020.

There were a couple of "Updates" the past couple of days.

Is this More Stuff We Do Not Want and are Frustrated and Upset because the Problems this Causes.


Please advise How to Stop these/this from appearing.

Clock and World symbols in Left Column of Windows 10 Start Menu

the clock will take you to the 'most used" or "new" list

the world symbol will take you to the "others" list (apps that cannot be listed elsewhere, they may or may not be internet shortcuts)

Thank you for your prompt response. I can now see the clock symbol working (once I clicked on the "most used" as you said). But can you please tell me how or where I can call up the "others" list. I don't know what section that would refer to.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
