Windows 10: Syncing Issues

I have a desktop and laptop under my account that like to sync things I don't want to sync. For instance, some applications on my desktop will show up as internet shortcuts, or white icons that can't be interacted with. If I delete them, it deletes the desktop shortcuts on the other devices, If I move them, it moves on the other device, etc. If I want cloud files on one device one place, and another place on the other device, they will move to the most recent change despite me wanting them in different places on different devices I want some files on my desktop on my laptop, while i want them stored in the files on my desktop.


I'm trying to keep them separate since one is for leisure and one is for school. I've tried turning off the sync settings under account settings in the desktop since it seems to be the administrative device, but it doesn't seem to work.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Keyboard layout syncing issue in Windows 10

Does this issue confined to keyboard layout?

I suggest you to Turn off the Language preference and Ease of access Sync settings and check if it helps. You may follow the steps below and check if it helps:

  Press Windows key and then type Sync your settings.
  
• 
  Turn off language preference and ease of access.
