  1. System Center Configuration Manager Package/Application Deployment Issue

After creating a new application and/or package, I can successfully install it on target workstations the first 1-3 times, but all attempts after those fail. Why would this happen?

The payload has been set up using multiple methods: as an application using a .vbs script, an application using the PSDeployKit method, a package utilizing individual programs and a package utilizing the PSDeployKit program. Same results regardless of how it is set up.

The source files are not being modified after they've been copied to their source location. The application I'm having a problem with is one from Avaya. Other applications are deploying successfully. Target workstations are all Win10 v1709 or newer.

What could cause these deployments to fail after the first few successful times? Could this be an issue with the SCCM server? We have one primary SCCM server in the environment and multiple distribution points but I am testing from a location which is geographically pulling from only one DP and the content on that DP looks good.

Thank you in advance for any guidance anyone can share. This has been incredibly frustrating.

Update 1702 for Configuration Manager (Current Branch) or System Center Configuration Manager 2016 to use ?

    Hi,

I would like to know if an enterprise organization intend to use SCCM for its VDI software distribution environment, Update 1702 for Configuration Manager (Current Branch) or System Center Configuration Manager 2016 is applicable ?

Is System Center Configuration Manager 2016 being replaced by Current branch ? If not, which do you suggest ?

There is System Center 2016 - Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) deployment but so far is there 1702 for Configuration Manager (Current Branch) Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) deployment ?

Last but not the least, there is an article said that Windows Server 2016 is not supported for Server VDI.), is that true

    Please advise.

    Thanks & Regards
