  1. SYSTEM COLLAPSE DURING THE PROCESS OF WINDOWS RESET/RECOVERY AND UPDATE!

My PC DELL-VOSTRO 15-3568, I Purchased with Windows 10 Version 1899, during April, 2019 Online, through Amazon.I have been Updating the same from time to time to the Updated Versions. 0n 18th June, 2020, I have Updated to the Latest VERSION 2004. Since then, the System has not been workin Normally. Windows is not Responding, Crashing in the Middle of Work and posing so many variety of Problems indicated by Various Stop Codes and Error Codes. I have Complained a good no of times from time to time through Feedbacks both to MICROSOFT and DELL. Atlast, on the Advices of Certain Microsoft Independent Advisors and also on the Automatic Messages notifed by the System, I resorted to Reset and Recovery to Factory Settings Option which I could after Several Failed Attempts. During the Process, Certain Backed Up Files could not be Retrieved, Out of the Required 20 Windows Software Updates, only 4 Updates were installed and the Remaining 16 Updates Failed to install with the Error Codes - 0x80248007, 0x80070017, 0x80070002, 0x8007002, 0x80d02002, 0x80244018 & 0x8024401c, even then, it was shown as DONEUpdated!. Later, while the Updates of DELL are under the Process of Updating, the System had Notifed that there are some Errors in the Defender Anti-Virus and hence Restart the System to Scan and Repair the same. So, I Restarted the System. But, after that the System had NOT RESTARTED AND NOT OPENED/LOADED THE OPERATING SYSTEM - WINDOWS and Displaed a Message - Your Device/PC needs to be Repaired. An Unexpected Error Occurred. You Need to Use Recovery Tools/External Devices like DVD, USB etc,., andif You don't have any, Contact the PC Manufacturer - and simultaneously, Notifying the Error Codes - 0xc000000f, 0xc000009c, 0xc000000c & 0xc0000225. And whenever the System Shutdown and opened again the same Messages are being displayed, but not the System is Opening! Under the said Message after feeding the BitLocker Key, the Options are giving - PRESS Enter to try again, F1 to enter Recovery Environment, F8 for Startup Settings and ESC for UEFI Firmware Settings. I have tried everyone of the above Options, but no

None of the Options in the Menu therein are working/Opening! In the UEFI Firmware Settings, the Option - Restore Settings is is not at all responding though waiting for hours together since 4 Days - Day and Nights! I have Reported the same to DELL also a few Hours ago! And I earnestly Request the MICROSOFT Personnel Concerned, and the Well Acquainted Microsoft Communities as well, to Solve My Problems and bail out Me from this, to enable Me to use My System as before, to carry out My day-to-day Work as usual, which I could not do so for the past 2 Months! Thanking All the Concerned in Anticipation!

    :)

  2. Problem updating Windows Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 feature updates

    Hi,

I have manage to install image for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 by going to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...erecoveryimage and download a recovery image for Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

What I did to reset your Surface from a USB recovery drive was:
Step 1: Make sure your Surface is turned off and plugged in (hold down the power
    button for 30 seconds).
Step 2: Insert the USB recovery drive into the USB port on your Surface.
Step 3: Press and hold the volume-down button while you press and release the
    power button on your Surface.
Step 4: When the Surface logo appears, release the volume button.
Step 5: When prompted, select the language and keyboard layout you want.
Step 6: Select Troubleshoot > Reset your PC.
If prompted for a recovery key, select Skip this drive at the bottom of the
    screen.
Step 7: Select the target operating system you wish to reset. This
refers to the current operating system installed on your Surface.
Step 8: Select Yes, repartition the drives, and on the next page, select Next.
Step 9: Choose Just remove my files.
    Step 10: Select Reset.
Surface restarts and the Surface logo displays while the reset process continues
    (this can take a while).

This always fails and I have to do the below which continues installation.
    Windows 10 Installation Media:

    1. Insert the Media (DVD/USB) in your PC and restart.
    2. Boot from the media.
    3. Select Repair Your Computer.
    Select Troubleshoot.

    1. Choose Command Prompt from the menu:
    Type in the command:
    Diskpart
    Type in the command:
List disk (Note which disk is your Boot drive number mine is 0)
    Type in the command:
    Sel disk 0
    Type in the command:
List vol (Note which volume is the EFI partition mine is 4)
    Type in the command:
    Sel vol 4
    Type in the command:
    assign letter=V:
    Type in the command:
    Exit
    Type in the command:
    V:
After you have assigned a drive letter Using Diskpart You can format the EFI partition:
Example: if you assigned a letter V to the partition the command would be:
    format V: /FS:FAT32
    Type in the command:
    bcdboot C:\windows /s V: /f UEFI

Now I have an issue that I cannot install Feature Updates. They keep failing to install.
Any ideas how to resolve issue?

SYSTEM COLLAPSE DURING THE PROCESS OF WINDOWS RESET/RECOVERY AND UPDATE!

Factory Reset Win 7 (without disc)

Download an ISO of the Avira AV boot CD, burn it on your own computer, and then boot from that CD on your mom's computer and run a cleanup.

Seriously, you should just download a Windows disc and format the laptop. Best and easiest course of action.

    "Information:
Many Toshiba laptops come with the factory software recovery image stored in a special (hidden) area on the hard disk. From this special hidden image, you can restore your computer to its factory-fresh software condition by following these steps:

To restore the original factory software image on your computer follow these steps:

    • Make sure the computer is turned off ("Shut-down" from the Windows Start menu)
    • Remove any peripherals such an external mouse, keyboard, monitor, USB flash drive etc.
    • Make sure the AC Adapter is plugged in and working.
    • Press and hold down the 0 (zero) key on the keyboard while powering on the computer. Release it when the recovery warning screen appears.
    • If the recovery process offers a choice of Operating Systems, select the appropriate one for you.
    • A warning screen appears, stating that when the recovery is executed all data will be deleted and rewritten.
    • Click Yes to continue.
    • When the Toshiba Recovery Wizard opens select "Recovery of Factory Software" or the appropriate option for your needs.
    • Continue to follow the directions restarting as necessary.
Please note that the process may vary slightly from machine to machine, that you may be asked to insert disks (multi-disk packages) and that the process may take one to two hours to complete. The recovery process will require you to restart your computer several times.

As you use the recovery process you will have several options. One of these may be to create a custom size partition. Follow the directions on screen for this and other options as prompted. When in doubt, it's usually best to accept the default, or pre-selected option.
    "

If you are incapable, or uncomfortable with following any of the recommendations on how to restore the laptop, then I recommend you take it to your local IT guy and ask him to do it for you. Sometimes the best of us have to visit a ripoff merchant to get something fixed, or even just tested...
