    System Configuration msconfig.exe Help = 'https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=517009'?


    Clicking the [Help] button in msconfig tries to open https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=517009 and fails.


    This and many, many other similar instances, are why I say that Windows is an unsupported operating system, that MIcrosoft abandons its customers.


    I need documentation for msconfig's _/Boot\_ tab. I have spent fruitless hours in the quest.


    What is 'No GUI boot'?

    Where would the 'Boot log' be written? What would be in it?

    What is 'Base video'?

    What is 'OS boot information'?


    Where is help for msconfig > Boot?


    Back in the bad old days of good operating systems, I could configure boot to always pause and display startup options such as Safe Mode and Command Line Only. In its superior wisdom, those were removed in Win10 -- I never used Vista, so I don't know when the wisdom was first applied.


    Does 'No GUI boot' == command line only? Or is it a way to force the boot process to always display startup options as in the bad old days?
