I recently fixed windows when It wasn't starting. I used the startup repair, and that fixed the job. Now, in the file explorer, I have a "drive" called System (DSystem (D:) :). It's 349 MB, and there is only 318 MB of free space. The only thing in there is a text document called "Recovery" that has absolutely nothing written in it. How come that text document says its 0 KB, but somehow takes up 31 MB. Is it safe to delete? Also, I didn't "add" the drive, and I don't have any other hard drive in my computer, other than my main SSD. It just somehow got there. Also I checked the "show hidden folder" and there was nothing in there.

    :)

  2. D drive

    Hi,

Based on the details you have provided us, it appears that there might be some corrupted contents on the said partition. We can also consider that this is caused by a virus.

For us to check if a certain virus is hiding your files, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Type Command prompt in the search bar.
    • Type-in the following command:

      attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
    • Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

    • Click on the File Explorer.
    • Select This PC.
    • Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
    • Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

Let us know how it goes so that we can further assist you.

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
