    Problem

After intermittent crashes I've narrowed down at least most of them to Edge, which I do use frequently on this computer.

It seems that, when Edge is accessing memory (RAM or VRAM), if any other application wants to make use of the majority of what's available, Edge triggers a BSOD - usually KERNEL_SERVICE_CHECK_FAILURE.

I can perfectly replicate a crash if I run Prime95 against RAM with multiple threads while Edge is running. I can somewhat replicate a crash if I'm doing a large download through Steam (which is a VRAM-hungry application that also uses RAM during downloads) when Edge is running, which it always is.

The reason I use Edge and not actual Chrome is because I don't want or care for Google's "we'll just store all of your logins at the browser level" code - so say you go to YouTube and you happened to be logged in, it'll just happily add that login to the browser without you asking, and you have to opt out.

I saw one suggestion that said to do an Upgrade Repair off the ISO.

Before I go that route, checking here to see if anyone is familiar with this issue with Edge and possible other ways around it.

EDIT: Another note. This is a custom built gaming PC, running Windows 10 Education. This issue doesn't happen on my business PC running Enterprise (which is a Dell Vostro, not the same hardware specs but it uses Edge way more than this computer), does happen on my other personal laptop which is an older HP but only if I'm running videos, and nowhere near as consistently. Like the laptop might go for months before I get a BSOD, where the gaming PC could do it once or twice a day depending on what I'm doing at the time.

System reports "detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer

We ran into a system alert box (screenshot as below) complaining "an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer randomly.

"system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer"...with the faulting app being... cffd50fe-d48c-49e3-8e19-12161ba2fee1?upload=true.jpg

The OS is Windows Server 2019 and is in zh-CN language. The error message can be translated as "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based
buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application".

Iexplorer looks functioning normal after dismissing the alert, but it's really annoying to our users.

    Anyone can help with

    1) why this happens? how can it be fixed?

    2) if it's a but from IE or system, how can we avoid this alert?

    3) is it possible to disable system from prompting this kind of alert?

Thanks for any suggestions or hints.
