Windows 10: System hangs/freeze at startup while NVIDIA services/apps start

If all of the RAM/DIMM are done at the same time for 8 or more runs a pass will rule out problems and a failure will require differentiation of RAM from DIMM as well as each RAM.

 

By "runs" do you mean "passes" or "tests"? Because doing 6 passes took 8 hours for 16GB, it's a lot.

 

This test unfortunately takes a lot of time. Many of the debugging results will indicate memory as a source of the problem as memory is almost always related to a bsod. So hardware needs to be ruled in or ruled out so that any future comments on memory can be better understood.

 

Yesterday I set the PEG slot as Gen3 in the BIOS and then, after the memtest, I re-applied the default XMP 3200Mhz ASUS profile, the system worked perfectly but today I'm getting the stutters at startup again...
Tonight I will test the first RAM stick, in the Event Viewer I see that IOCAgent is causing errors at every boot and I'm 100% sure it's ME / MEI related.

I set the default system language as shown in that link, but the Event Viewer isn't translating in the new language.

EDIT: I disabled the XMP profile but the stutter occurs again.

EDIT2: I don't know if this would be helpful but I noticed that in the Service_Error of Corsair LINK there's an error that didn't occured yesterday when the system worked perfectly without stutter at startup:

 

What was the Memtest86+ result for 8 or more passes with 16 GB RAM ?

 

The latest memtest I did was in the image above, 4 passes with no errors

 

How come your not testing both ram at the same time?
It eliminates a portion of testing that is important.

What would happen if you uninstall Corsair 4 and reset the bios?
Can you do that during the troubleshooting?

 

I uninstalled Corsair LINK and then I've done a Clear CMOS, after that stuttering at startup aren't happening

 

Any additional information to provide? I'm trying different BIOS settings but the LINK software always cause stuttering at startup, there's some incompatibility with the CPU fan management: when the CPU Q-Fan controller is ON from the BIOS then Corsair LINK won't show the liquid cooler fan speed and the water pump speed stays at 1300 rpm (Quiet profile), when the CPU Q-Fan controller is disabled from the BIOS then LINK takes the CPU fan speed control and starts showing the CPU fan speed as set as in the profile management, also the water pump speed raise up to 1900 when set as Quiet. All cables are plugged correctly onto the motherboard as shown in the Corsair H100i v2 manual.
Would maybe the Corsair Client and Service logs be helpful and show us some information in combination with the Windows Event viewer?

 

The Corsair 4 in another thread was reported as a more common source of bsod.
See if there is any troubleshooting steps in the Corsair4 forum.
There may be others in the forum that have direct experience

 

How can I fix some driver problems with Driver Verifier? Last time I've got stuck into a BSOD loop and no dumps were generated.

 

Often when using windows driver verifier it will display memory problems. So you need to rule in or rule out memory problems first. Once you know that RAM and DIMM are ok with 8 or more runs of Memtest86+ then seeing a result indicating probably memory is no longer directly related to a hardware problem. Anything less than 8 passes could be a false negative.

RAM is ok when tested independently.
To be complete you would test them simultaneously.
If necessary that can be done if the bsod reappear without a problematic driver or application.
Windows driver verifer you had used previously.
Maker sure your files are backed up.
Please make an image now using Macrium.

Use these settings for windows driver verifier: Driver Verifier-- tracking down a mis-behaving driver. - Microsoft Community
To turn off windows driver verifier there are two methods:
1) safe mode with command prompt: verifier /reset
2) command prompt Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe: verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
If methods 1 and 2 fail in turning off windows driver verifer you would then perform a system restore. The *.dmp is likely to be lost so there would be no progress made in the debugging.
Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
That will take you to the windows advanced troubleshooting menu so you can practice navigating.

Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.
For each bsod there will be a stop code typically driver verifier detected violation. Sometimes it will display the misbehaving driver in the form *.sys. If you see it please record it.
Each time you return to the desktop run each Bluescreenview and Whocrashed. One may add something to the analysis that the other missed.
With the new information about the misbehaving driver you will then uninstall the driver or application using device manager or control panel. You can keep uninstalling drivers until there are no more bsod or you can replace drivers after each uninstallation. The method is personal preference. The end result should be the same. The misbehaving drivers or applications should be removed or removed and replaced.
Make sure that the settings are updated so that automatic restart is unchecked:
Keyboard: win + r keys simultaneously > type or copy and paste: sysdm.cpl > click advanced tab > under startup and recover click settings > under system failure uncheck automatically restart

When you have all of the backups, a brand new restore point and are comfortable navigating the windows advanced recovery you can start windows driver verifier.
