  1. "System" process displays 100% of disk activity of a non-system HDD.

Frequently, Windows 10 seems to slow down, and when I open Task Manager and Resource Monitor, the graphs show maximum disk activity on my G: drive. It's also always that drive, none of the others. This is negatively impacting my use of the PC because I use that drive to store work related files, and accessing folders and files becomes very slow when the system is doing something massive there. The issue does tend to go away on its own, after you wait for long enough for the process to finish whatever it's doing. Last time the activity started, I tried restarting to see if it interrupts it. It d

  2. 100% disk usage by SYSTEM(ntoskrnl.exe)

I have a notebook which had preinstalled win 10 home single language. My device lags most of the time because of 100% disk usage by SYSTEM(ntoskrnl.exe). Most of the time this process consumes 100% disk making my HDD too slow. It takes about a minute or
two to launch the games installed on my system. Opening File Explorer takes up to half a minute. I need a fix for this issue.

  4. "System" process displays 100% of disk activity of a non-system HDD.

Windows "system" process running at 100% disk usage

It doesn't resolve anything, system process still utilizes disk at 100% all other applications are slowed down. After a while it finally stops, who knows what Windows 10 is doing. Then you start a program (at last) and guess what, the system process goes
    back up to 100%.
