Windows 10: System Restore did not complete successfully...

Getting the following error message when trying to do System Restore on a clean install of Windows 10 with the Creator's Update (Version 1803)...

After running System Restore the system displays the following message at the desktop after logging in:

System Restore could not access a file. This is probably because an Antivirus program is running on your computer.

I also get the Event Log Error 8210 with code 0x80070005 in Event Viewer.

The only Antivirus running is the included Windows Defender with Windows 10. No other AVs are installed.

Does anyone know what is causing this error? This is a totally clean install of Windows 10 Creator's Update.

System Restore did not complete successfully.

Details: The writer's timeout expired between the Freeze and Thaw events. (0x800423F2)

Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit

I tried twice with 2 different restore points.

Unable to do a complete restore.

Saw a fix for a windows 7 system, but didn't know if it could be used on W 10 system.

system restore did not complete successfully error code 0x80070002 in Windows 10

I used my computer this morning and then left for 3 hours leaving the computer on but not on the internet or any application active. When I returned the computer was shutdown.

I restarted, thinking that it was a Microsoft update. The computer wouldn't boot into windows 10 although I could get to command prompt to run ChkDsk /f and Repair/Fix menu options were available. None of the repair options worked and I went to System Restore.

On Boot Startup the error message was Critical_Service_Failed. but not which service.

In System Restore I have 3 restore points. 2 Automatic Restore Points and 1 Windows Update from a month ago which was a Critical Update. The most current Restore Point is only 2 days ago. I tried all three successively and each time the same message: System
Restore did not complete successfully. Error during restore 0x80070002.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix or repair steps that don't involve flattening the Hard drive and reinstalling?
