  1. System restore point

The only restore points on Windows 10 for me

    restoring to:

    1) 11/13/2019...…....Windows update (which caused my problem)......update

    2) 11/07/2019...…...Restore operation...............................................................undue

    3) 11/05/2019...…..Dell Client Management Service...……………...………..Install

So which do I choose? Windows 7 was much better. One was able to create your own restore point.

    :)

How to delete inactive System Image Restore Points in System Restore

    Windows 10 64-bit.
When I click "show more restore points" in System Restore I see a bunch of old "system image restore points" that were deleted in past and do not correspond to any currently active restore points. Clicking any of these old restore points, I simply get an error message saying they could not be found, and to select another restore point instead.I would like to delete these restore points listings but have been unable to do so.
So far, I have tried steps mentioned below without any luck :

Disk Cleanup through (CSystem restore point :) Properties
Disable System Protection (OFF and ON) in System Protection for OS (CSystem restore point :)
Disk Space Usage to minimum (slider button all the way to the left then 'Delete all restore points for this drive'),
Delete all shown Restore points in CCleaner (the problem ones do not show here),
Reset Windows Backup to Default in Windows 10 with 'Reset_Windows_Backup.bat' utility.

    Any suggestions highly welcome.

    Scheduling System Restore Point Creation

I have tried to precisely follow the instructions set out in System Restore Point : Create at System Startup - Windows 7 Help Forums, but the Task Scheduler / script is failing to create a restore point:
    • Running the script manually creates a Restore Point.
    • Task Scheduler appears to run the script, but no Restore Point results.

    System restore point [IMG]

(The Last Run Result code 0x41301 indicates "The task is already running".)

The Task Scheduler settings are as follows:

    System restore point [IMG]

    System restore point [IMG]

    System restore point [IMG]

    System restore point [IMG]

    System restore point [IMG]

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to why the restore points are not being created.

Hello ma3ino, System restore point :)

Please double check using the screenshots under step 11 to verify if the restore point is listed there.
