Windows 10: System restore stuck at "finalizing file restore" On windows 10 laptop

Hey, so it's started when my laptop got windows and driver update, after it's done, i restarted it. When it came back on, a repair loop happened, just my luck.... Tried the regback method but failed, so i do a system restore, fortunately the save point is yesterday, perfect. It started normally and take quite some time, and eventually it got stuck at "finalizing file restore", since it started it's been 4-5 hours now. Is it normal? I do have a large amount of data though dir 1: 300-ish gb, and dir 2 400 to 500-ish gb, please tell me this is

After getting the blue screen multiple times and going through a failed reset, I was finally able to get System Restore to run. However, it's been stuck at "finalizing file restore" for about half an hour now. I contacted Microsoft and was told to just
let it run, but how long should I wait before restarting? How can I tell if it's working this time around?

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.

• What was the exact issue that you were facing that lead to perform restore?
• Did you receive any error message, when the system restore got stuck?
• Did you install any third party security application?

Since the computer is being stuck, I suggest you to restart the computer and try to perform the restore again and check if it helps.

I also suggest you to provide more information regarding the issue which led to perform system restore along with the make and model of the computer.
