Windows 10: System Security

Hey there!

So recently today I tried to install a free version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC on my Lenovo Legion 5 and when i installed itwhich btw never installed... it was taking an abnormal time to complete the process. My laptop's fans were getting louder and louder so i got concerned... Once i looked at my computer i left it for about a minute or two i found two new icons on my desktop screen.. I know all the basic and some advanced functions of windows so i knew that it wasn't something that i have ever installed i can remember that one of the app's name was file cleaner .. I quickly went to the Task Manager and saw a application which quickly hid itself ...i saw the app for a brief second.. i scrolled down in the background apps and found many 8 - 10 new applications.. Some of which were just named Installer.exe...

So i quickly went to the security manager and ran a full scan ... My pc was brand new so it didnt take much time and sure enough, it showed my pc was safe.. I went to the exclusions and saw nearly a dozen of files and applications which have automatically excluded themselves and the remove button was also greyed out.. I couldn't do anything and it happened to me for the first time so i got freaked out and quickly shutdowned the pc.. I ran it back up . Tried to uninstall the apps that it installed ... And just after the uninstaller finished. The apps appeared again. So i just resetted my pc..


Now i want to know whether the malware could've been very smart and could've it infected my boot partition??


Also, can a clean USB installation remove all the Malwares

Corporate Security Solution

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

 

Best security systems for house?

A house breakout happened in our neighbourhood recently. The house break really freaks me about the security of my house. I am planning to install a good home security and alarm system at the earliest. Thing is i'm not tech savvy and don't know what kind of security systems to choose from. What kind of video surveillance and alarm system is best suited for a house of 2500 sq ft? I read in an online article that Think Protection had good reviews but im not sure about it. Which are the best ones at reasonable rates that I could use? Looking forward to your ideas and suggestions.
