Windows 10: System Thread Exception Not Handled BSoD, a Memory Management Crash Dump & Greenscreens GPU...

For some Context: I had previously had issues with my GPU Bluescreening pretty much everyday with the Stop Code: until I had re-installed the Drivers via the "DDU Method." I wasn't able to try the other methods as at the time I was particularly busy.


This seemed to fix the issue. Other than when my PC would Greenscreen where the GPU Crashed specifically when I was using the program Clip Studio Paint, possibly in conjunction with watching/listening to YouTube Videos. Causing me to Restart the PC. I contacted AMD's support who basically told me to re-install the drivers via the "DDU Method" again. I elected to set the Radeon Adrenalin Settings to Default just incase some of the changed Settings were messing with the program, I've not had an issue since but the only other time I had a small GPU crash was when I was recording a video for Uni, where the screen flashed green for a moment and resumed as normal, hense I'm still concerned.


Today I recieved a Bluescreen with the Stop Code: System Thread Exception Not Handled, when I was booting up a game Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017. The resolution had been lowered and the colours were slightly off. I had a similar crash once before but I was unable to see what the Stop Code was as I was away from my computer and just got back in time before the PC shut off entirely. I was able to get the Memory Dump from this, and I have no clue as to what any of it means so I'm posting here. There's also a Mini Crash Dump with the Code "Memory Management", which was on the 4th of June, I remember my PC restarting although I was unable, again, to see what was up because I was away from it at the time.

Hopefully this isn't too overwhelming of an issue. I was planning on switching to an Nvidia GPU as I've always seemed to have issues with AMD GPU Drivers, thank you for taking the time to look at this post and helping anyway you can ^^.

Windows 10: "system thread exception not handled" error on shutdown

Hi,

I recently have run into a situation where my computer fails to shutdown properly. When I click the shutdown button everything goes as normal - the orange screen and the "shutting down" working wheel appears. The screen then goes black for a moment (normal
spot the system should power down) but then the Blue Screen of Death pops up.

Error is "system thread exception not handled" - and although the BSOD promises it the system does not reboot. I used WhoCrashed to look at the dump files but the it doesn't show any dumps/crashes from when these errors appear. Any suggestions or hints
on what steps to take next?

The System Thread Exception Not Handled error in Windows mostly occur due to incompatible or old graphics card drivers. System Thread Exception Not Handled error is often displayed along with the Blue Screen of Death

I suggest you to boot into Safe Mode environment and update your graphic drivers.

Method 1: Update drivers.

I suggest you to update graphic drivers and check if it helps. Follow the steps given below.

• Press Windows key + X key and click on
  Device manager.
• Search for Display Adapters.
• Right-click on the graphics
  card and click on Update driver software.

You may also download the latest graphic drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install them on your computer.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check.



Method 2:



Follow the steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

• Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
• Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

BSOD System Thread Exception Not Handled

I got an ASUS laptop 5 months ago right after Windows 10 came out, and then upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10. For the past 5 months I've encountered 0 problems until today, when i got a BSOD when watching a Youtube video with the message: BSOD System
Thread Exception Not Handled.

I tried uploading or reading the dump file that was created, but I got "Access denied" every time. What should I do?
