Windows 10: system tray wifi icon hides before the mouse pointer reaches it

Hi every one.

I've got a problem with wife icon in system tray like this that when i click on the wife icon a window including network names should pop up and wait there until i click somewhere else but now although the window pops up but it vanishes as i wove my mouse from system tray to reach that window?

any solutions.

for record i had disabled win update through services but it some how re enabled it self and updated the laptop and after that this issue appeared.

but as much as i checked they were a bunch of office updates plus windows 1709 cumulative update.

I suggest you to try the below steps to add the icons to Taskbar and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key, click on Settings.
• Click on System> Notifications & actions.
• Click on Select which icons appear on taskbar (to select the icons that appear on Taskbar)
  and also click on Turn system icons on or off

Permanently hiding system tray icon


Well that would be my last solution. There's gotta be a way to just hide system tray icons? And not normally hiding but literally hiding

 

unknown icons shows next to mouse pointer. can anyone identify this?

• Are you facing any issues with that icon coming up with the mouse?
• Have you made any changes to the mouse pointer?

This is usually because of the mouse pointer changes.

I would suggest you to default the mouse pointer Scheme and check if the issue resolves.

• Press Windows + X keys, select Control Panel.
• Select Mouse, Select Pointers.
• Select Windows default (System scheme) in the Scheme list.
• Click Apply, OK and check.
