Windows 10: Tab key does not work properly

Every time I press the tab key and wait 5 seconds, the screen always "freaks out" the same way. When i hit tab, it opens random things and it always writes "wtfd" in the text field. it also rolls down the screen. This problem lasts about 10 seconds in total. the problem may be caused when I tried to solve an earlier keyboard problem which is not related to this. I think I removed an alt+tab command in one of the settings but i dont remember where. I've tried a lot of things, but I haven't been able to fix it. This problem also occurs in games, so it is really annoying. I wonder if theres a way to just disable the tab key. The problem has been for 3 days now. Help?

Tab key stopped working

To resolve your issue, follow the steps below:

• Press and hold Alt-key.
• Press 0 0 9 on the numeric pad.
• Release the Alt-key.

This is the alternate method of getting a TAB character.

First of all, I would suggest you to install all the latest updates released by Microsoft from Windows Updates and check if that helps or not. And to update your drivers, please follow the steps and let us know if it helps fixing the issue or not:

Open Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X, click on
Control Panel; select System and Maintenance.

• Click on Device Manager.
• In Device Manager, locate Keyboard and double-click to check if it’s working properly.
• Go to Driver tab, then click on Update Driver. And follow the instructions.

Numeric key on my laptop doesn't work properly

Hardware issues is one of the possible reasons why your number keys on your laptop is not working properly. To ensure that this issue has nothing to do with the apps running on your computer, we suggest that you perform a clean boot. To do this, simply follow
the steps below:

• From Start, search for msconfig.

• On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap
  or click Disable all.
  
  
  
  
• On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
  
  
  
  
• On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
  
  
  
  
• Close Task Manager.
• On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.
