Windows 10: tablet update

Hi, hope someone can help as MS cannot, I am trying to update my tablet to Windows 1709, I get as far as ready to install, it asks for more storage, it will not recognize my 32GB micro card,whatever format I try. I can get it to use 16GB USB drive up to 75% then it stalls, if I try fixes suggested, I have to restart, which puts me back to start of install. Then it says USB failed previously, and now windows cannot recognize it. I have also tried a 160GB USB drive with same result, I now have no hair and am ready to buy android unless,.... Please help!*cry*BangheadP.S. Update assistant is also telling me that my PC cannot be updated. ( but does not say why). Thanks.

Virtual onscreen trackpad

I need some help.

We have a program called that does a virtual on screen trackpad. Microsoft recently released an onscreen trackpad with the anniversary update. Which made me really happy! It works smoother than ours and in a few situations where we are really
laggy the windows trackpad stayed buttery smooth.

I would be beyond thrilled to be able to talk to some of the team responsible for the windows trackpad and see if we can figure out what we need to change or do to get that same amazingly smooth response from the virtual mouse pointer (we used to be called
touchmousepointer )

any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

I'm trying to get my computer to switch to it has where I can switch it when I do it is doesn't work it says its on but it don't work how can I get it to work

What version of windows do you have on the table at present? Is it 1607? If so, let's get one thing out of the way first. Some PCs (mostly tablets) use processors that are no longer supported for Windows 10 and cannot be upgraded beyond Anniversary Update (1607). The USB should be formatted as ntfs to be able to use it as extra storage in an upgrade. Was yours?

 

Thumb drives come formatted as FAT32, at least up to 64GB [haven't gotten a larger one yet]. Windows can't format as FAT32 over 32GB, a limit. I find the only real reason to reformat as NTFS or exFAT is to work with single file sizes greater than 4GB, also a limit.

 

This usb was being used as extra storage for a windows upgrade - who knows how large the files would be under those conditions?

 

Puts it in the same category of a DVD-R or DVD+R disc for up to 4.2GB or a DVD+R/DL for up to about 8GB capacity. The 8GB is necessary for both 32-bit and 64-bit MCT downloads or the 64-bit version that may be too large for the 4.2GB disc.

the answers to questions posed are;
All extra drives where formatted to Ntfs, 64Gb card and 16Gb usb.
Windows version is 1703.
Processor is Atom Z8350 1.44GHz
Found article on CPUs not supported, mine does not appear on list.

 

Hi, to anyone who has the same problem, here is how I managed to update. I used a 1Tb external hard drive with just Windows USB upgrade tool on it. It installed OK except for one restart when it asked for drive to be re-installed and a error message popped up, I ignored it after three attempts, and clicked the X in top right, it then carried on with the upgrade to my surprise, and I now have version 1709, Build 16299.251. I do not think I will upgrade anymore though. I still do not know why the SD card would not be recognized, but that`s Microsoft for you. Thanks to all who helped.*Party
