Windows 10: Task Host Window, Program Manager and Unknown app preventing Windows 10 Restart/Shutdown

Hi everyone, since two weeks at every restart/shutdown, this problem came up. I can't find this programs in the app list or Task Manager. I tried doing several antivirus scans but nothing was found, i even did a clean install but the problem persists. I already tried to do a clean boot but it doesn't be useful.My main concern, since I'm a little paranoid, is that it is nothing malicious given that even after a clean install the problem was not resolved.The thing that interests me most, in addition to understanding the origin of these programs, is knowing if all this is also happening to other

Unknown Program Preventing Shutdown and Updates

There is an unknown program preventing my computer from shutting down. When I click shutdown it says "This app is preventing shutdown" but there is only a generic app icon, and no name for the app. I have to select "shutdown anyway" which isn't allowing
Windows Updates to be installed.

I've checked forums and could not find a solution which worked for me.

Task Manager tells me there are no program running. There are no "blank" programs on my app list in control panel. I've used sfc /scannow
in the Command Window and it came back negative. I've turned off all Non-Windows programs for start-up that I don't need (I have a couple drivers which are necessary for my computer).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Task Host Window is Preventing Shutdown

I am using Windows 10 with surface pro 4. When I tried to shut down the computer normally, it says Task Host Window is closing background tasks and is preventing shutdown. I tried waiting it out but it just popped me back to desktop. I tried checking for
updates and it said I was on the latest updates. I tried running Troubleshoot on Power settings and it didn't work. I also tried sfc/scannow and it said there were some corrupted files that could not be fixed. However when I tried to look at the list of corrupted
files by using the command

the command prompt said sfcdetails.txt couldn't be found. I tried doing a clean boot but it required restarting the computer and the Task Host Window prevented restart. I didn't want to do a force shut down and I don't know what to do. Can someone help?

 

Task host prevent shutdown every time

Platform Windows 10 Home recently upgraded to version 1709.

Since last few days Task Host prevent shutdown every time and massage is some what like:

Task Host Windows: is stopping background task (Microsoft\Windows\Windows Update\Automatic App update.)

Happens every time shutdown. Can not take screen shot while PC is Shutting down.
