Windows 10: Task Manager showing 0% network

Hello,
I have purchased a new Laptop MSI and have noticed that the task manager always displays the percentage of network as 0% and all programs as utilising no internet. This is not true at all as i have played online games and done many many downloads in the past couple days.
I have tried everything. Checking if it is my user on the laptop that it is only occuring to it is not. Uninstalling killernetwork did not work. Updating Windows Didn't work. Resetting network didn't work. Changing the view in task manager to normal didn't work. Disabling various properties of the internet didn't work. I am at a loss. I don't know what else i can do anymore and need to understand if my internet is running slowly due to background downloads occuring on this computer and cant without task managers network setting.
I need some proper support here and not some shots in the dark because I am at my wits end. Please please help me resolve this.

Windows Task Manager showing 0 Mbps network usage

Hello,

My task manager is showing 0 Mbps network usage per process (In process tab) despite it saying 2% used for example.

Resource monitor shows networks usage as well as the Performance tab on task manager.

Can someone please help fix this?

Task Manager fails to show individual process Network Utilization

I am running Windows 10 on a Desktop and Laptop that both display this behavior. Chatting with a tech was fruitless and I was told this is how to post a bug report.

The Task Manager Network Utilization total shows activity (e.g. >10%). Sorting by the Network column to find the process using the network show all processes using 0 Mbps.

My research indicated that the Resource Monitor would show the activity correctly, which I verified to be true. A process with > 1 Mb/s in Resource Monitor showed 0 Mbps in Task Manager.

This post for Windows 8 is complaining of the same problem with no resolution:

I read another place where someone suggested that the individual process values were only displaying for one network resource, which could explain the symptom.

Hi Jay,

If your network adapter is rated as having a very fast maximal bandwidth such a 1 Gbps, Windows might ignore 1 Mbps as being too small a percentage to show. We suggest that you use the Resource Monitor or a Task Manager replacement.
