Windows 10: Task manager shows I'm using 7.6 gb of RAM, but in the user details, shows 1.5 RAM being used.

I recently noticed that my Laptop is getting slower, and I opened my Task Manager to check if is any problem or any abnormal percentage, without any videogame open my computer is using from 7 to 8 GB of RAM My computer has 12 GB, and I left 100mb to system so I've 11.9GB I saw many process from windows such as "svchost.exe" etc.. , then I clicked "Users" and I saw that my user is using 1.5 GB of RAM, The question is : Is this normal? , why it shows likeI am using 7 GB of ram being used but my user is using 1.5 gb of ram.

1* - You have 2 RAM of 4GB

2* - Task Manager shows you have 8GB

3* - 3.8GB(in use) + 3.8GB(cached) + 0.624MB(Hardware Reserved) + 0.230MB(Pool) = 8GB(approx. more)

Note:

• 1GB = 1024MB
• It seems you have more than 8GB RAM
• You might be using any RAM Boost Software

 

Task Manager RAM Usage

My computer is running 64 bit Windows 10 with 6 GB of RAM.

I have been monitoring my memory usage via Task Manager and occasionally download tasklist via the cmd line.

What has been bothering me is that my RAM usage at reboot starts at 34%, and left alone, increases to ~75-80% without running any programs.
(I do have start up programs including McAfee, Dropbox, Seagate console, gadgets, etc.)

When I analyze the tasklist download file via Excel, the total RAM memory usage is approximately 3.1 GB at 79%.
Doing the math, this means there is only 4 GB in use?

I have 2 questions:

1. Does Task Manager list all the RAM usage or is there some background usage that is not shown.?

2. Is there any other way to monitor RAM leakage?

 

Ram installed in System but not Showing in Task Manager

Hi Iam using Hp Laptop Model-HP Notebook-15-ba001ax ,My system was lagging so I thought of Installing Another 4 Gb RAM

So I have installed the Same Ram I found in My System that is

SK Hynix HMT451S6BFR8A-PB NO AA 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 PC3-12800 204 Pin
SO-DIMM Laptop RAM
SO i have bought another 4 gb ram of same configuration and installed it in laptop.

SO I have totally 8 gb in my Laptop

I have mother board of model HP 81F6 66.43

Serial number (motherboard): PFXMBH41U37FQ2

SKU Number: W6T51PA#ACJ

Bios version: F.34

When i checked in task manager-> Performance it is showing that

Memory 2.8/3.4 GB

So why my system not using it total 8 gb Ram





3.45 GB total memory type DDR3 to 798.38 MHz

I have also checked this in system info under settings

it is showing that only 3.45 GB is usable

Please help to make 8 gb of my system ram is usable
