Windows 10: task scheduler/remote computer

Hi

im trying to solve this issue to be able to do optimization for my Laptop


nothing from the FAQ has resolved this issue


can I ask Microsoft for support?

Win10 Home Computer - Task Scheduler "the remote computer was not found" when opening

Hello

Hoping someone can help me fix this issue.

On My Win10 Home Edition, (A computer that I use at home that is not networked with other computers), I use the task scheduler to automate some task.

I was going to adjust a task and recently when I opened the "task scheduler" to do so, I get a popup "the remote computer was not found". When I click "OK" the prompt closes and everything is grayed out and I can not create any new task. Also the past
task I created are no longer listed.

I ran a DISM & SFC and no issues found.

I also did an internet search for similar issues and found the following article:

Task Scheduler: "The remote computer was not found" error

But following the article to a tee..... I could not resolve the issue.

Any idea how I can fix this issue?

I suggest you to clear the task from Task Scheduler using the below steps and check if the issue still persists.

Steps:-

• Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
• Click on Task Scheduler Library.
• Select the particular task and right click on it.
• Select End.

Task Scheduler with error message The selected task »CreateChoiceProcessTask« no longer exists

The Steps which resolve this problem on my computer :

• Type Task Scheduler on Search bar.
• Open Task Scheduler
• Navigate in the Task Scheduler Library (Nothing else !!!)

And the message deseapear and I can create a task !!!
