Windows 10: Task scheduler stopped working.

Task scheduler stop working after two different events took place. First the PC started to becoming erratic opening and closing document and video files randomly. At that time I attempted to perform a system restore that W10 reported it as failed attempts. Later the Microsoft password was changed on a different PC. It has been discovered that in the Task Scheduler Properties Log On Tab, the Local Services Account is grayed out, but with a grayed out dot. The allow service to interact with the desktop is grayed out and blank. The account, password and confirm password dialog boxes are bank. Both the password and confirm password dialog boxes are grayed out too.
Both windows Defender and Malwarebites had a day before performed a check and found nothing.
Additionally I have been unable to determine if I am logged in as the administrator, when I try and enter the command net user administrator /active it responds that it cannot be found. I am at a loss to find an explanation as to what the mysterious cause is.

Cannot schedule a task with Task Scheduler - error 2147942403

I suggest you to check the below settings and check fi it helps.

• In task scheduler, click on the scheduled job properties > then settings.
• In the last listed option: "If the task is already running, the following rule applies:"
• Select "Stop the existing instance" from the drop down list.
• Save and Exit. Then check whether the task is running or not.

Task Scheduler with error message The selected task »CreateChoiceProcessTask« no longer exists
