Windows 10: Taskbar buttons missing, offscreen, resized

Hi,


I have no idea how, but my taskbar buttons have become rearranged and I can't put them back to normal. To see all of it I have to resize the taskbar like in the second screenshot below. My sound settings icon has vanished entirely, and I can't rearrange anything through clicking and dragging except the app icons, but only within a small area.


I can't find anything within taskbar settings that has any effect on this - is there some way to just reset the taskbar to its default settings?

Please follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• Right click on taskbar.
• click on properties.
• uncheck--use small taskbar buttons.
• uncheck--lock the taskbar.
• try to place the mouse pointer and then resize the taskbar.

Doesn't work on an hp stream tablet which doesn't have a mouse only touch screen. Mine is doing same thing. All updates applied and I cannot resize the taskbar on my hp stream 8 tablet. It was fine and now its double height of what it was.
