Windows 10: Taskbar Date

So I have my taskbar at the bottom. I use small Icons. I want to keep the taskbar as minimal as possible. I want to have the date shown. Anyone know how to do this?

Failed solution 1-Change to large Icons. No this looks ridiculous. I rather use appl...no I won't go that far.

Failed solution 2-make the taskbar larger. No this isn't a solution. I only ever have a handful of apps and don't need that size of taskbar.

The simplest solution would be if Windows would add the ability to control this and make the corner where the time appears wider so that it includes the date. Allow me to pick how the clock is shown. HHMM on a 24, HH:MM XM, YY/MM/DD HH:MM XM. Whatever, having more options is a good thing.

Day and date gone from taskbar

To assist you better, you might have opted to have the small buttons on the taskbar from its properties. If you uncheck the option to have small buttons on the taskbar, then that would increase the taskbar size and will display the date with the time on the
notification area on the taskbar.

You may follow these steps:

• Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
• On the Taskbar tab, uncheck the option “Use small Taskbar
  buttons”.
• Click on Apply and then OK.
• Now check if that display the date with the time on the notification area.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.
