Windows 10: Taskbar does not work after waking from sleep mode

Whenever I put my laptop to sleep and wake it up again, most taskbar functions fail to work.

I cannot access the start, wifi, volume, or action menus. I also cannot access the jump lists on my pinned icons. However, I can still open programs from the pinned icons.

lenovo yoga 11s crash on recovery from sleep

Lenovo Yoga 11s becomes unresponsive on waking from sleep mode. Used principally in laptop mode, tries to return in tablet mode but fails to mount entire desktop. Taskbar has back arrow and windows logo, but neither respond to input. Action center does
not open.

Problem occurs 60% of time waking computer from sleep mode, requires hard shutdown / restart.

 

Auto hide taskbar is NOT working!

I'm another user with a taskbar problem. Auto hide works OK but............if the taskbar is placed at the bottom of the screen it will not reappear when the computer wakes from sleep mode until I open the task manager and restart Windows Explorer. Then
the taskbar will work properly until the computer goes into sleep mode again.

The problem does not appear if I keep the taskbar pinned to the left side of the screen but that is not where I like to keep it. I have seen one other post from an individual with exactly the same situation. It appears that Windows 10 with some hardware
configurations has a problem with the taskbar. I say, with some configurations, because I have a second computer running Windows 10 that does not have a taskbar problem.
