Windows 10: Taskbar hidden behind open windows

My task-bar had been hiding behind all my open windows for a few days now, it was getting really annoying and I couldn't find an answer that solved my problem. Then out of nowhere I thought to hit F11 and see if maybe full-screen mode was on. Indeed that was the case at some point I hit F11 and seems like there is a glitch that allows the desktop to go to some kind of limbo full-screen mode... I assume there isn't a fix yet because my windows 10 is currently up to date with all drives and windows updates and I can replicate the intermittently if I hit F11 enough.


Anyway, I would love to hear some thoughts on this as it annoyed me for days.

Taskbar icons

Hi,

To address your concern, follow the steps below on how to show hidden icons on the taskbar.

• Open Settings, and click on the Personalization
  icon.
• Click on Taskbar on the left side, and click on the
  Select which icons appear on the taskbar link under the Notification area section on the right.
• Turn on Always show all icons in the notification area at the top

Let us know how it goes.

 

Help!, windows taskbar disapeared!!!

Try Ctrl+Esc.

If Recycle Bin is the only icon you can see, open it, from the explorer window navigate to Control Panel and find Taskbar settings there.

This behavior of your Taskbar is part of the settings set on your computer.



To automatically hide your Taskbar, follow the steps below:

• Right click on the Taskbar.
• Select Taskbar settings.
• Toggle the switch to on for Automatically hide the Taskbar in desktop mode.

Note that it’s not permanently hidden, it’s just hidden if the pointer is away from it.
