Taskbar pinned items gets deleted on reboot (after Creators Update)

After the Creators Update I experience this odd behaviour: every time I reboot the system (or restart explorer) almost all my pinned taskbar item disappears

this happens in the hidden TaskBar folder:
    C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

and also in the registry settings:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband

the strange thing is that this happens for almost any program but not for all! Two program: the cmd, and Navicat (an sql client) are able to remain pinned upon reboot, every other programs gets always deleted. If I manually unpin them they don't appear in the next reboot. It seems that somehow the system reminds they are "allowed" to remain pinned.

the problem happens in every account

I tryed almost everything (SFC, delete User Pinned\TaskBar folder, delete Taskband registry, ecc) but I cannot find a solution, and it's very annoying... please help!!! thanks

    :)

  3. Pin Icon to taskbar that DOESN'T move

If File Explorer shortcut is alone causing this, unpin it and delete its .lnk file here:

    %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

The press WinKey + E which opens File Explorer. Pin it back again.

Or try clearing the entire Pinned items setting via the registry, or using the Vbscript here.

The items need to be Pinned again.

Taskbar pinned items gets deleted on reboot (after Creators Update)

This was happening to me, Wergio. This is the reason I did a totally fresh install. In fact it was the only reason I did a fresh install with the "Creative Update.
I don't know why but my laptop upgraded without incident. Lets hope someone has a fix soon because I have 2 more PC's to upgrade.
