    Taskbar 'refreshing' and tabs me out of applications?


    It started randomly when I turned on my computer- I didn't do any latest updates or anything overnight, and I don't know what could have possibly started this.I boot up a game called Rocket League after I let my desktop do it's loading of all the services and whatnot, and then the screen went black with my cursor in the middle, and the task bar kept popping up with none of the icons except for 'windows', 'search', and the 'cortana' symbol.It kept doing a weird 'refresh'-esq flashing, before tabbing me out of the game and forcing me to stare at the desktop. I can't do anything, even swap apps w

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

    • Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the search box, type Settings
    • SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
    • Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
      "(Recommended)”.
    Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
    • If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
    • If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

    Refresh just one Edge tab

    The right-click drop-down list in Edge let's me refresh all open tabs, but I have several tabs open and want to refresh ONLY the current one. IE gave me that option -- how do I refresh only the current tab in Edge?

    I added a third step to the first suggestion, which worked for me:

    1. Choose start> All apps,

    2. Scroll to the application you want to pin, right click and then click
    Pin to taskbar.

    3. When the desired icon tile appears in the desktop box, left click on it and drag it into the task bar.
