Windows 10: Taskbar size

I've had an ongoing issue for a few months. After playing a game and exiting to desktop, my taskbar is twice its size. double the height {across thee bottom}. The taskbar is locked and the resolution never changes. I unlock the bar, resize and lock the bar, play another game, exit to desktop and the taskbar is again, double its size. Am I missing a setting in win 10? I've been using win 10 for over a year.This is a new issue and seems to be prevalent around the community with some users.

Taskbar font size

I have done repeated searches for the answer to this question and none of the suggestions has worked for me so far. The font size in the taskbar for Windows 10 is too small to suit me. How do I manage to increase the size of the letters so I can read them
more clearly? Font size on the regular screen is fine, but I cannot seem to find the control I need to increase the font size on the taskbars.

Follow the steps to change the font size:

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.
