Windows 10: Taskbar taller than normal?

Hi all,So on my work PC, the Windows 11 task bar on my secondary monitors sometimes it only shows on one is taller than normal, as if you resized it by one on Windows 10. Sometimes hiding/showing the task bar fixes the issue, though it always comes back.I haven't had much luck finding a similar issue online, so I'm posting here hoping someone might have a good lead.

Taskbar will not increase or decrease height, even when unlocked

I thought one could make the taskbar shorter or taller in Windows 10. But even with taskbar unlocked, when I move the cursor over the taskbar and get the double arrow, I cannot either lift or lower it.

Any suggestions?

 

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.
