Windows 10: Taskbar won't go away!

Windows 10 / Version 1903
OS build 18.362.778
(64-bit version)

I've been having this problem for a while. The taskbar used to occasionally, randomly and regularly stay at the bottom of the screen. It wouldn't hide itself (as it was set up to do) until I opened the Task Manager and re-started Windows Explorer (a work-around that was suggested to me when the problem started). Then later in the session the problem would occur again and I would re-do the fix again. (And again and again later...)

This morning I had the same problem, tried the same work-around...but now it refuses to leave! Now "Restart" leaves the taskbar there, black & empty...& after a second the icons re-appear.

Quite frustrating as you can imagine, because it blocks the bottom of whatever I'm viewing or working on; any suggestions?

my n97 won t charge or connect

System Icons on taskbar

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
