    Has an Edge update affected this? My tasks were always loading before in gmail. How they load and then within 5 seconds they disappear again. I tried to move across to Chrome browser but then all my bookmarks with stored emails to sites I need all the time weren't there and when I tried to copy the bookmarks across the login and passwords disappeared so its not an easy alternative to switch to Chrome. I would prefer to get tasks working in Edge again. Please help. I rely on tasks to organise myself at work....

    I would suggest you to try restarting Microsoft Edge Browser and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Open task manager right click on Microsoft Edge and go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe and click end task

    • Restart your Computer and check if it helps.

    Microsoft Edge Does Not Appear in Taskbar

    I worked through steps 1 and 2 with no problems detected. I have not experienced Edge crashing so I don't think items 3 or 4 are applicable. There were no updates available within settings for Edge.

    Still looking for an answer to this problem. I know that I am not the only person that has pointed out this problem with the Microsoft Edge icon disappearing and not appear on the taskbar when it is open. The icon just disappeared and it is a Windows 10
    problem that has not been addressed with any updates. Very frustrating.
