Windows 10: TDR Failure

This is a brand new hp envy all in one computer and has been throwing codes since I plugged the power in and it is driving me absolutely crazy. Unless someone can help me out here i am simply taking the P.O.S back. As much as I HATE apple but I'm thinking of making the switch over I do a LOT of school work on my computers and I need something that isn't constantly shutting itself down. I'm at wits end here.

Windows 10 TDR failure message keeps looping

Original title: Win10 TDR Failure

My system was just built we installed win10 successfully( have an ASUS GTX970). Everything was working until win10 updated the drivers then the TDR failure message....which keeps looping and I cannot do any of the suggestions because I don't even get a screen
w an option to choose safe mode...

it just keeps trying to reboot and coming back with same error...

i tried a clean install and that led to this looping

 

TDR Failure

I have HP Pavilion P6000 series desktop that I recently upgraded to Windows 10. The machine works perfectly apart from when playing video. No problem with YouTube but whenever I attempt to play video (using media player or any number of video apps) I have
stored on the machine, I get a Video TDR failure.

I've updated the driver, no luck. Used the generic Microsoft driver and it works fine. uninstalled the ATI Radeon HD 4200 driver and re-installed, no luck. Every time I get the TDR failure and the computer restarts. Help!
